linedividerWomen, like men, are evolutionarily engineered to be attracted to certain characteristics of the opposite sex. Back when we were still cavemen, women needed a strong man who could defend her and feed the family. Although women of the Stone Age don’t have the same needs as the women of today, they’re still looking more or less for the same qualities. Being strong, in the eyes of women today, consists of several qualities, including wealth, health, beauty, confidence, humour, social intuition, status, and various others.

I will not say that women have no character; rather, they have a new one every day.
Heinrich Heine

… there is nothing more irritating to a feminist than the average “Woman’s Page” of a newspaper, with its out-dated assumption t hat all women have a common trade interest in the household arts, and a common leisure interest in clothes and the doings of “high society.” Women’s interests to-day are as wide as the world.
Crystal Eastman

Let girls take a serious interest in art; let them take up some congenial study, let it be a branch of science or history. Let the m write. They can do almost anything they try to do, but let their mothers never rest until they have implanted in their daughters’ lives one growing interest beyond flirtation and gossip, whether it be work at the easel, music, literature, the structure of the human body and the laws of health, any solid interest that will occupy their thoughts and their hearts.
Mrs. H. O. Ward

About Carl William Brown

I'm Carl William Brown a holistic teacher, a webmaster, a trader, and a writer of aphorisms and essays. I have written more than 9,000 original quotations and at present I'm also working at my only novel, Fort Attack, which is also a wide and open blog project. At the moment I'm teaching English in a secondary school, but up to now I have done a lot of other things as well, both in business, educational, sport and social fields. Some years ago, in 1997 following the examples of the Rotary or the Lyons Clubs I founded the Daimon Club Organization to promote every sort of activities, creativity, art, literature, new technologies, informatics, business and marketing, public health and education and to meet new friends with these kind of interests.
